The injury was a complete tear of one of the four quadriceps “heads” and was reattached by Dr. Andrews. Triple H will be hospitalized until Sunday and then will be staying in Birmingham the next several weeks to rehab with Sports South therapist Kevin Wilkes. Recovery time is projected to be 3 or 4 months but a complete recovery is expected. It’s amazing to me that The Game was able to gut out the final few minutes of the Tag Team Championship match on Raw after sustaining the very painful injury to his thigh muscle. Maybe some of Triple H’s critics will cut him some slack after the performance he provided us all on RAW under extremely extraordinary circumstances. Stipulations for this match will be announced on RAW is WAR tomorrow night, and we can expect the world title and possibly the intercontinental title to be involved in the match, as well as the tag titles. Usually main events have something to do with the world title, and with Backlash trying to follow the great act that was put up by Wrestlemania, they need something big to show that they are not at a weak point after the strong performances at Wrestlemania. If indeed Austin and Triple H win the tag titles from Taker and Kane, HHH would become the second Grand Slam winner in World Wrestling Federation history. The only other wrestler to hold the world title, intercontinental title, european title, and tag team title was Shawn Michaels. This would be quite an accomplishment for Triple H's illustrious career. On May 5, the WWF will hold its "Insurrextion UK" PPV. As stated in the above preview, it seems that many of the company's championships will be decided, including the WWF Championship, in which "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has defended only once since his title victory against The Rock at Wrestlemania X-7. A probable opponent for the "rattlesnake" at this time could be The Undertaker, who is arguably the only face in the WWF who could make a convincing run for the WWF Championship. Triple H may, in addition, defend his Intercontinental strap up against Kane. The second hour of programming will likely add a stipulation onto the Tag Team Championship main event at Backlash. One possibility is that should Kane and The Undertaker retain the tag titles, they would also, somehow, divide up the WWF World and Intercontinental Championships, currently held by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Triple H respectively. He was asked about the XFL and he said that people should give it time. He said that it does better ratings than NBA basketball. The host asked him about his schedule and he said it was a killer. He wishes Vince McMahon could have two more hours put in a day. The host asked about his animosity with Steve Austin and he playfully said it will never be over between the two, clearly having fun and not kayfabing.
